ROTUNDA WEST, Fla. - Margaret Bennett , born Margaret Henderson Lyon, passed away at age 87, May 28, at her home in Rotunda West, Fla., after a 10-year battle against Alzheimer's Disease.

"Maggie" was known for her many talents and achievements.

She was an artist, interior decorator, seamstress (including wedding gowns and custom suits), embroiderer, knitter, crocheter and quilter.

She was a champion springboard diver, swimmer and tennis player. In winter, she was a skier.

Her finest athletic achievements were in golf - 7 holes in-one and 3 club championships at Highland Country Club in Attleboro.

She was a Life Master in duplicate bridge, competing both here and abroad, around the world with her husband of 44 years, Charles "Bud" Bennett of Rotunda West and formerly of Attleboro, Mass.

In addition to Bud, she leaves behind her daughters, Karen Reed of Park City, Utah, and Kimberly Silvia Hall of Manhattan, N.Y.; her son, Paul D. Silvia of Bridgewater, Mass.

She was also mother to the late Peter M. Silvia Jr. of Attleboro. She is also survived by her 2 stepchildren, Kim Bennett of Attleboro and Jeff Bennett of Newton, Mass.; as well as 4 grandchildren, Specialist Brian Silvia of Ft. Campbell, Ky., Kirk Reed of Phoenix, Ariz., and Ethan and Graham Hall of New York, N.Y.

A private memorial service will be held later this month.
